MEET JACK GEIGER

I grew up here in Kansas. My family has farmed in Brown County for six generations. I've struggled alongside my family and neighbors through farm crises, worked to build local markets, and spent 33 years proving that a different way is possible. 

 

I'm not running because I want a political career. I'm running because I'm tired of watching Kansans get squeezed by leaders who have forgotten who they work for. 

 

Kansas has never elected an independent to the state legislature- not because it can't be done, but because no one has asked us to imagine something different. 

A simple vision for a stronger Kansas

My litmus test for legislation is simple: if it doesn't improve the lives of my constituents, it doesn't have my support. 
  • Kansas is a home-rule state, period. Power should flow upward from the community level into the Statehouse. 
  • Honest financial accounting and reduced tax breaks for external entities.
  • Our State must stop giving liability waivers or exemptions to corporate and out-of-state enterprises.

  • Kansas-focused regulatory environment/taxing structures/infrastructure

  • Support vocational education opportunities

  • Support for rural hospitals, schools, and infrastructure

Our Statehouse and Senate shouldn’t be a retirement home, a vocational choice, or the “farm team” for political climbers.

  • End state budgeting shenanigans and maintain clear school district and county transfers
  • Progressive income tax rates
  • Tax wealth, NOT work
  • Property tax transparency and uniformity
  • Respecting retired people on fixed incomes in a time of inflation
  • Property tax should not reduce home ownership stability.

I have lived my entire life in Kansas, raised a family, and built a successful agricultural enterprise in Kansas. I did not do this alone, but rather with assistance from my state, community, friends, and family. I believe strongly in our State and in the principle of pay-it-forward. My wife and I have worked for years to build community, prosperity, and foster respect for the diversity that has made our State great.

Proven Leadership

Kansas doesn't need more promises; it needs leaders with proven records of service. I've spent my life working alongside Kansans, not above them.
